AI Is Bad at Context Engineering

AI can write code, summarize documents, and answer complex questions. But structuring its own context so it actually performs well on a task? It can't do that.

Deciding what information to load, what to leave out, how to scope a problem so the model doesn't get confused: that's still a human design problem. The AI operates inside the context you give it. It can't step outside and ask whether that context is any good.
